HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
(Includes HLTAID010 provide basic emergency life support & HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
Throughout Queensland, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is the most popular course amongst our students. In this course, you will not only develop the necessary first-aid skills to help with over 22 common injuries and illnesses, but you will also learn how to deliver CPR, and we will cover HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support.
You most often require this course for employment, but it will also allow you to feel confident about any situation thrown your way. This accredited first aid and CPR course is the perfect opportunity to become a qualified first aider with help from our qualified instructors.
Our course is designed to be taken either face-to-face or online. If you choose to study online, you’ll complete the majority of your work before attending a venue near you. The practical element of the online course takes 2 hours and is mandatory to pass the first aid course.

HLTAID009 teaches you how to perform a series of chest compressions, breaths and use an AED to help someone who is suffering from a cardiac arrest or has stopped breathing. This course will help you feel confident responding to high-pressure situations, and you may become equipped to save lives!
Have you ever been afraid of an emergency? Wouldn’t it be great if there was a skill you could learn that could change the fate of many people? We have online and face-to-face options so that you can learn CPR in just 2 hours or less. Use Mannikins and AED’s and learn what to do if you are ever placed in a situation where urgent help is needed.

This course is designed specifically for you if you work in education or childcare. You will learn CPR and First Aid and the various ailments and injuries that affect infants and young children. This course takes an in-depth look at asthma and anaphylaxis, and you will use infant CPR manikins. Take this course, and you’ll learn all the skills needed to be prepared for emergencies. Whether you opt for our face-to-face or online option, you’ll learn the fundamentals by studying less than 7 hours of material.
It’s also helpful for parents who would like to know what to do if their child becomes involved in an emergency while they’re watching them.

Accessing Your Course
Shortly after you have confirmed your course, you will be sent an email with your login details for the portal. Your login portal will contain your mandatory pre-reading and quiz. If you have selected an online course, you will also need to complete online learning as well. Your online work needs to be completed before your practical assessment takes place.
